Eper came into her family's life through the kindness of a family friend named Laura, but from the very first meeting, she made it clear that this was meant to be. When her future family arrived to visit, Eper walked right up and leaned against her person's leg, offering what felt like a warm, welcoming hug. In that simple gesture, she displayed the gentle and loyal nature that would define her character throughout her life. Born on September 23, 2009, Eper was both playfully spirited and beautifully calm, possessing an independent streak that made her companionship all the more precious.

For nearly eleven years, Eper filled her home with the steady rhythm of shared routines and adventure. Each morning began the same treasured way—breakfast followed by walks together, after which she would settle into her favorite spots for long, peaceful naps, sometimes claiming the couch and sometimes sprawling contentedly across the bed. Weekends brought special joy as she accompanied her family on hiking trails and swimming excursions, her playful spirit shining brightest during these outdoor adventures. Through it all, she remained the most faithful companion anyone could ask for, turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.

Though Eper passed away on June 20, 2020, her family carries forward the warmth of her daily presence—the way she greeted them each day, her endearing quirks, and those quiet moments watching her sleep so peacefully. Her morning routines, the walks they shared, and her boundless unconditional love remain vivid in their hearts. In her memory, her family supports hemangiosarcoma research through the AKC Canine Health Foundation, hoping that other beloved companions might be spared from this disease, while they wait for the day they will see their dear Eper again at the Rainbow Bridge.
