Luna

Luna entered her family's lives on a stormy evening in 2015, when they opened their hearts and home to rescue her from another situation. From that rainy night forward, she became an irreplaceable part of their world for nearly eleven wonderful years. Her independent spirit and adventurous nature made her a force to be reckoned with, while her protective instincts ensured her family always felt safe and loved.

She was brilliantly clever, using her intelligence to her full advantage, especially when food was involved. Luna mastered tricks with remarkable speed, motivated by treats and her eagerness to please, though her stubborn streak meant she did things on her own terms. Her playful energy and free-spirited nature shone through in everything she did, from her natural hunting abilities to the way she approached each day as a new adventure. Above all, she was their steadfast guardian, watching over her family with unwavering devotion.

Her family will forever miss the unique personality that made Luna so special. Her distinctive voice and the sounds that were hers alone, the joyful way she greeted them each day, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. They will feel the absence of her presence in every corner of their home and hearts. In Luna's memory, her family encourages donations to Best Friends Animal Society (EIN 87-0405276), supporting animal welfare and rescue programs that help other pets find the same kind of loving homes that Luna cherished until her final day on May 2, 2026.
